Donald Downer
Nature and Wildlife Photography
Don’s connection with nature began when he was a child growing up in Midland, Ontario, on beautiful Georgian Bay. On nature walks with his father and grandmother, Don learned to notice the tiniest flicker of movement in the forest and to find and name a variety of birds and plant life. Today Don uses that skill working with the camera to translate rare glimpses of nature into exciting digital imagery.

Many of Don's photos are taken around his cottage/studio near Waubaushene, Ontario, at the boundary of the Canadian shield on the southern shores of Georgian Bay. On trips to more exotic locations, he seeks out the many wonders of the natural world to photograph and share.

Don’s enthusiasm for the outdoor world is contagious and he delights in sharing his love of nature and photography with both children and adults alike. His photographs of wildlife, reptiles, insects, and plant life are an excellent addition to the art collection of any nature enthusiast.

His wildlife photography is available from his studio, by appointment or by chance. Please leave an e-mail on my contact page!  Click here.
